BIOGRAPHY
I am a studio artist working primarily within the art quilt form. After working as an accountant at the Ann Arbor Transportation Agency and at Ford Motor Company, I retired early to make art.
Wanting to supplement my income with sales, I originally thought to make functional work: pillows, portfolios, garments. It seemed like I’d moved on to factory work, making the same item many times, and I turned to art quilts. This work – nothing exactly alike -- was more rewarding and I’ve spent much of the last fifteen years creating several series of quilts.
I’ve always lived in Michigan (Detroit, Port Huron, Ann Arbor) and my grown daughter lives nearby.
